The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group of fifteen West African countries founded on 28 May 1975. ECOWAS mission is to promote economic integration across the region. There is ongoing recruitment at the community of West African States (ECOWAS).   1. Job Title: Radiologist

Location: Republic of Sierra Leone

Category: ECOWAS International Volunteer

Type of Contract: ECOWAS Volunteers programme. Non-Family Position

Expected start date: 1st September 2018

Duration: one year, renewable (depending on budget availability and satisfactory performance)

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • A minimum of master’s Degree in Radiology from a recognized university.
  • Work experience and other skills
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in radiography
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of volunteerism is an asset
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Being proactive and enterprising (taking initiative)
  • Good computer skills – office suite

Language Requirements

  • Perfect command of English Language (written and oral) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of any other official language of ECOWAS (French or Portuguese) will be considered an asset/ advantage.

Location: Republic of Sierra Leone

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have served as a specialist nurse/specialist midwife
  • Must have had relevant working experience in a public institution for five years of which must be in a managerial position
  • Must have two (2) publications to his/her credit
  • Must carry an updated nurse/midwife License
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of scientists
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A sense of initiative and anticipation
  • Knowledge of volunteerism is an advantage
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Being proactive and enterprising (taking initiative)
  • Good computer skills

  • A fellow of west African college of Physicians from an accredited university
  • Must have an upload registration licence with medical and dental council

Work experience and other skills

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of active work experience with three years as a senior specialist as obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Interpersonal skills
  • People management skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of scientists
