MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme For Blind Students 2019

If you have or know any blind student within your locality, I will be showing you how to apply for the MTN Foundation scholarship scheme for blind students. The recipients of this scholarship get to receive two hundred thousand Naira per academic session. (#200,000). Also, this scholarship covers both the university, college of educations and polytechnic students.

About MTNF-SSBS

Normally, the MTN foundation offers a science and technology scholarship to tertiary institution students annually. This MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme for blind students (MTNF-SSBS) was created to complement it to ensure that those who are blind can partake of the scholarship award.

In this MTNF-SSBS, each scholarship awardees is supported with #200,000 per academic session. They will also receive mentoring support to help the awardees maintain their scholarship status.

This scholarship scheme commenced in 2011/2012 academic session and has been maintained till today. On the overall, about 626 scholarship awards have been given to the recipients.

In this 2019 award, it is estimated that about 360 recipients would be awarded.

Who Is Eligible?

The eligibility for this scholarship covers all blind students in approved tertiary institutions (University, Polytechnic & Colleges of Education) in Nigeria.

Apply MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme For Blind Students 2019

Here is how you can apply for the MTNF-SSBS

1. Visit the MTN Foundation scholarship portal here: https://foundation.mtnonline.com/scholarship/ssbs
2. You will be presented with the application form.
3. The first page will ask for your personal details. You will submit this information
   1. Name
   2. Gender
   3. Date of Birth
   4. State and LGA of origin.
4. Click on “Next” and fill in some more personal details.
5. Once you are done with the whole required details, submit your application and then follow whatever instruction you are given next.

Application Deadline

The deadline for this scholarship application is August 7th, 2019.
